The Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library offers a variety of information resources including:

  • DVDs
  • eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • Children’s programs 
  • Adult programs
  • Copier and microfilm reader
  • Free wireless internet access

Library Rules

Smoking is prohibited at the library. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Children under six years of age must be accompanied by a parent at all times and children under 10 cannot be left in the library without a legal guardian/parent onsite. 

Check-Out Guidelines

Cards must be presented at all times to borrow books. Patrons are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards. Up to ten items may be checked out on a card and only three items of a series or collection.

Fines 

Book fines are $0.25 per day. Fines for DVDs are $2 per day. Other items with unique fines will be indicated on the item. Lost or destroyed items are cost of replacement of item plus a $5 processing fee.

TexShare Card 

TexShare Cards allow patrons to visit participating libraries across Texas and borrow materials for free through the Texas State Library and Archives Commission’s TexShare Program.

Current Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library cardholders who are 18 or older and have no outstanding fines or fees for lost or damaged items may apply for a TexShare Card after 30 days of activity in good standing. 

TexShare Cards expire one year from the date issued, and must be renewed before privileges are restored. 

TexShare Card patrons should apply at the circulation desk.  Please have an ID and Library Card from your home library to apply. TexShare borrowers are limited to four items and to one renewal per item. Borrowing privileges will be blocked for TexShare borrowers who have late fines or fees for overdue or lost items.
